INSTRUCTIONS
EXPAND THE SOIL AND PLANT YOUR SEEDS.
Place the organic soil disc in the grow tray and add 10 fl. oz of water on top. Watch and wait a few minutes as the soil will expand like magic!
Fluff expanded soil with a fork to make sure that the disc has expanded fully. If there are still any hard parts, add a little more water directly on top of that hard part. The soil should be damp, not wet, so if there is excess water, squeeze it out gently with your hands.
Scoop out 3 tablespoons of soil and set aside.
Spread the remaining soil out in an even layer along the bottom of the tray.
Open the seed packet and sprinkle all seeds evenly across the soil. Cover the seeds with the 3 tablespoons of soil that you reserved earlier.
Add 3 – 5 tbsp. of water per day until harvest. Microgreens do not require direct sunlight to grow well but watering levels can vary based on the temperature in your home. If you notice the top of the soil looking dry, then add an extra 1 – 2 tbsp. per day.
HARVEST YOUR MICROGREENS BETWEEN DAY 7 & DAY 10
Your microgreens are ready to eat when the first 2 leaves appear. Use scissors to cut stems just above the soil and wash them before eating. For longest lasting microgreens, harvest all at once and place in a Ziploc bag with a dry paper towel inside. They will last a week or more in the refrigerator. If you can’t harvest on schedule, keep adding small amounts of water to keep your microgreens from wilting.
