Grow leftover green onions!
Directions:
Cut store bought or home grown green onions about 1-2 inches above the root. Place one in each hole. Then place the lid in a jar of water so that the base of the lid is in the water. Use the black out sleeve to help prevent any algae from growing in the water.
It takes about a week to re-grow your green onions.
To harvest, simply cut the tops off the green onions with a pair of scissors about 1-2 inches above the root. If you would like to continue growing the green onions, then place a small amount of liquid nutrients in the water so that the green onions will continue to grow and produce food for your table.
The green onion lid is reusable and should be hand washed in cool water and then allowed to air dry.
